Slide Buddy is a FREE Google Slides add-on that provides:

  • • Context-aware text management
  • • Find and replace functionality
  • • Natural language command processing

The add-on itself is 100% FREE. No subscription, no hidden costs.

3. User Obligations

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • ✅ Use the add-on only for legitimate presentation translation/editing
  • ✅ Comply with Google Workspace Marketplace Developer Agreement
  • ✅ Comply with Google Gemini API Terms of Service
  • ✅ Respect intellectual property rights in your presentations

Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

  • ❌ Use the add-on for illegal, harmful, or unethical purposes
  • ❌ Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the add-on
  • ❌ Use automated scripts to generate excessive API requests
  • ❌ Violate Google's API usage policies or terms of service
  • ❌ Use the add-on to process sensitive personal data without proper consent

4. No Warranty

THE ADD-ON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • • Merchantability
  • • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • • Non-infringement
  • • Accuracy of translations
  • • Availability or uptime
  • • Error-free operation

Translation Accuracy: Translations are generated by AI and may contain errors. You must review and verify all translations. We do not guarantee translation accuracy, quality, or suitability.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • • Incorrect translations or text replacements
  • • Service interruptions or availability issues
  • • Compatibility issues with Google Slides or other software

Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed $0.00 USD, as the add-on is provided free of charge.

6. Data and Privacy

  • • No Permanent Storage: We do not permanently store your presentation content
  • • Session Data: Temporary session data (1-hour cache) for context awareness

Your Responsibilities: You are responsible for backing up your presentations and reviewing changes before accepting them. You must comply with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when processing personal data.

7. Intellectual Property

  • • You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the add-on

  • • Translations and modifications you create are yours

  • • Update features, remove features, or change functionality

Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
